Meet your driver for a smooth transfer to your hotel. Settle in and, if you wish, stretch your legs along the corniche as the harbour cools.

Take in the chandeliered prayer hall of the Grand Mosque with context from your guide. Pause at the Opera House and a favourite café, then explore the National Museum’s highlights. Drift through Mutrah Souq in the golden light for frankincense and silver. Add a short coastal boat for cliff views from the sea if you like.

Journey to Nizwa for the souq and fort ramparts. Continue to Jabrin’s elegant interiors and stop for an exterior view of Bahla’s fortress. Walk the falaj and mud-brick lanes of Birkat Al Mouz before climbing to Jabal Akhdar. Arrive mid-afternoon for a gentle terrace stroll and long views.

Enjoy a calm mountain morning, perhaps with a short village walk. Travel east via Ibra for an unhurried lunch, then change to 4×4 for the track into Wahiba Sands. Reach camp in time to climb a soft ridge and watch the colours shift. Dinner is served under a very starry sky.

Leave the dunes for Sur with a quick dhow-yard look and a bakery stop. Continue to White Beach near Fins, a natural cove with clear water. Swim and snorkel if conditions allow, with a simple picnic or café lunch. Arrive back in Muscat by late afternoon.

Walk and swim in Wadi Bani Khalid through a palm oasis to a hidden pool. If you prefer less walking, choose Wadi Tiwi for shorter sections and shady spots. Enjoy an easy late afternoon or add a relaxed boat ride.

Unwind in the morning, then transfer to the airport.
